The Implementing SAFe (SPC) training will give you all the tools you need to successfully implement SAFe within your organization and improve Agile capabilities.
During the training, you will learn what it takes to embrace change as an organization. You will learn to lead a Lean-Agile transformation using the Scaled Agile Framework and the five core competencies of Lean Enterprise. In addition, we will cover in-depth topics including:
Knowledge and coaching of SAFe configurations
Launching Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Development of Continuous Delivery Pipeline with DevOps culture
Setting up a Lean Portfolio
Perform Value Stream identification
Good examples from operational practice, which helped a lot in understanding SAFe.
SPC Exam & certification
The Implementing SAFe (SPC) training is a four-day course (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., including lunch) and is led by one or two SAFe Practice Consultants Trainers (SPCTs). Our consultants are also active in the field themselves and therefore have great experience with implementing SAFe within large organizations.
If you complete the training and pass the exam, you will be a certified SPC. You will receive:
Official SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC) certificate
Digital badge of the certificate (to share & promote online)
One-year certified membership as a SAFe Practice Consultant, allowing you to access to the SAFe SPC Community of Practice
Access to the online Trainer Enablement materials to gain a qualification to teach and certify others in Leading SAFe (SAFe Agilist SA), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) and SAFe for Teams.
Access to several learning resources that support certified professionals during their SAFe journey
The Scaled Agile Academy will update your profile as soon as you pass the exam. From then on, you will have access to the private, online community and the possibility to make your profile public within the Scaled Agile community. Until that moment, only you have the privilege to see your certification.

- Exam name: SAFe Practice Consultant
- Language: English
- Format: multiple choice
- Exam delivery: Web-based (single-browser), closed book
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Number of questions: 60 questions
- Passing score: 45 out of 60 questions correct (80% score)
- Exam cost: The fee of the official first exam is included and must be completed within 30 days of the training.
- Retake policy: Didn't pass the exam the first time? Nothing to worry about. It’s possible to do a first retake immediately after the initial exam. The second retake requires a 10-day wait, a third attempt can be held 30 days later. Each retake costs $250. Please contact support@scaledagile.com for questions regarding the retake policy.
Anyone may participate in this training, regardless of role or experience. Do you also want to take the exam? We advise you to have:
At least 5 years of experience in software development, business analysis and product or project management
At least 3 years of experience with Agile
One or more relevant Agile certifications
Professional Development Units (PDUs) and Scrum training units (SEUs)
Professional Development Units (PDUs) and Scrum Education Units (SEUs)
Attending this course means that you may be eligible to apply for 15 Continuing Education – Strategic PDUs toward your continuing education requirements with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP and PMI-ACP certifications. You may also be eligible to apply for SEUs under category C, toward earning or renewing your CSP through Scrum Alliance.
